Currently, there is an issue with IKEv2 VPN client built into HarmonyOS. Need to download VPN client to establish a connection.

1 Enable Installation of Apps from Unknown Sources
  • Go to Settings in device.
  • Slide to Security & Privacy, or directly enter "Unknown Sources" in search bar.
  • Find the option Allow Installation of Apps from External Sources or Unknown Sources, enable this permission.
2 Install StrongSwan VPN client

Download APK on StrongSwan official website and install APK

3 Open VPN Client and tap Add VPN Profile
  • Server: Click to find Server domain (e.g. .us.vsnowy.com)
  • VPN Type: select IKEv2 EAP (Username/Password)
  • Username:
  • Password: Click to Reset Password
  • CA certificate: keep the checkbox enabled for Select automatically
  • Profile name: Customize name (e.g. Vsnowy-US)

  • Turn on Advanced settings

  • Server identity: S.vsnowy.com

Now just tap the newly created profile to establish a VPN connection.

1 Add a VPN configuration

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > VPN Add a VPN connection

  • Connection name: Customize name (e.g. Vsnowy)
  • Server name or address: .win.vsnowy.com
  • VPN Type: select IKEv2
  • Type of sign-in info: select User name and password
  • User name:
  • Password: Click to Reset Password

2 One-click VPN Connect

Click on the network icon in the lower right corner to connect Vsnowy with one click.


Note ➀: If you are connected to VPN but can't access Internet, check default gateway setting for your VPN network


Go to Control Panel > Network & Internet > Network Connection

Right-click on the Vsnowy VPN network icon, click Property, then switch to the Network tab, and double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 and Internet Protocol Version 6 to open the property window.
